While the vastness of the visual panorama is certainly astounding, Jennifer is interested in the deconstruction and reinterpretation of our surroundings through the use of color and finite detail. She is attracted to small details, lighting events, and variations in the natural and artificial environment. The original inspiration may be an anchor for her but the content of a work becomes purely design oriented. She becomes captivated by the practice of the medium itself. The visual outcome of a work of art can be left up to interpretation. She doesn’t feel that it needs to be representative of anything tangible other than what the viewer wishes to define for him or herself.
